Happy Saturday! Hope your week went well. I’ve been battling a flu/cold all week, so I’m going to skip waxing poetically and get right to the point. Today’s post features a few time sensitive events closing on Tuesday, February 28, 2017. First up is Park Place Home Decor Black Leather Chaise, Red Heart Garland Wall Decor, Gray Shag Diamonds Area Rug, Leafy Green Table Plant and French Walnut Round Accent Side Table exclusive for the Swank Event ending 2/28/17. The theme for February was truly, madly, deeply; which inspired the darker boudoir. Next is Brook Hill Livings recent release for the February round of The Crossroads Event, the Wagner Chair in Ebony and Spotlight, closing 2/28/17. I also used the Faun Chandelier in Midnight, available for sale at the main store. The remaining decor items are from a new to me subscriber monthly event called Deco(c)rate. On the 8th of every month a mystery box with 15 semi-exclusive items from top H&G designers are delivered to your inventory, if you reserved your cart for $1,500L before the 7th. Afterward the price doubles to $3,000L. In today’s post, I used Mudhoney Ginny Bed, Second Spaces Mood Lighting Candles, Cheeky Pea Forgotten Places Fireplace, Hextraordinary Antique Cherub Lamp, Stockholm & Lima The Lovers Trail and Serenity Style All for Love Suitcase. There are a number of other items that I hope to showcase before the new March boxes arrive. Personally, I’m still a little on the fence about a subscription event, time will tell if it’s for me. (I do love my bargains :-)) Lastly, I mentioned in my last blog post I wanted to spotlight more gifts from the Love Me…Love Me Not Hunt (ending 2/28) and Gloria is sporting the Facepalm Just Love red silk sleep shirt in standard sizing and mesh compatible. Gloria’s golden locks are HoneyAna, the new group gift from Truth Hair ($350L join fee). Hope you enjoyed the post, I’ve got couple more planned for the weekend….stay tuned!

A Touch of Spring!
The sky broke through the clouds and the sun shined down on the valley, signs of spring are in the crisp air. Today, I wanted to style a garden room featuring Park Place Home Decor items at Gacha Good The Best Is Yet To Come Event until February 15, 2017. The event offers exclusives items and 2 gacha pulls; one for home decor items ($40/pull) and the other for fashion items ($60/pull). The exclusive home items available for individual sale are the Touch of Spring Bench, Floor Pillows and Flower Houseplants (Yellow Hibiscus, Pink Frangipani & Purple Hibiscus). Some of the home gacha collection shown above includes Basket of Yellow Roses, Liberty Planter Arrangement (trio) and Flower Basket Pink. Another exclusive item offered at The Best Event is by Park Place Casuals the Elena Slacks Outfit in Chocolate/Beige. The outfit features a brown leather vest style front detail on a cream shirt with taper leg beige pants. The classic slacks are also available in dark red and black. And if you’re looking for a more laid back style, jeans in two colors are for sale. I’m wearing Lamb Dissolved Girl hair, a past group gift and Modish Nadine Gem set, free group gift from the Ultra Event. To the right side of Park Place Touch of Spring bench is Serenity Style Love you country frame, a free gift for the All About Home Group. Also shown is StoraxTree Vintage Plant Stand Rose Bush Pink, the hunt gift for Love Me…Love Me Not Hunt from 2/1-2/28. The last item I want to highlight is Park Place Casuals gacha item Becca Spring Sweater & Skirt in Purple Plaid. The sweater is loose-fitting and tucked in the front with a soft drape in the back. The plaid mini has a cute side cut-out detail. I’m wearing Lamb hair new group gift, Lovesong. There are some cute finds at Gacha Goods The Best is Yet to Come event with loads of Valentine’s Day and romantic items. Hope you enjoyed my touch of spring blog post!
Happy Tuesday! Out here in Silicon Valley, we are having some bad weather with flash flood warning, thunder and lighting, and a snow forecast for the Santa Cruz Mountains. I know I shouldn’t complain, but I’m worried about the creek behind my house overflowing. Anyway, winter is still around and today I wanted to pay tribute to it featuring Tylar’s Treasures Celebrate Winter Decor collection available for sale at Color Me Happy Event until 2/6/17. The collection includes a modern white wood and marble fireplace, white ottoman trunk with beige pillows, and three bare trees with twinkling lights and a “celebrate” mantle sign. Color Me Happy is a small event highlighting new and upcoming designers. This is their first event, so I’m not sure if it will be a recurring shopping experience. I also wanted to highlight the Snowy Landscapes framed artwork above the fireplace from The Artist Shed, a free gift on the Winter Blows Hunt until 1/31/17.Another gift on the Winter Blows Hunt is Wynona by Prism, a white cable-knit turtle-neck sweater dress with black belt. I love the detail knit on the dress with larger cable-knitting down the middle and small knit on the side and neckline. The last item I would like to showcase is Brook Hill Living Faun Chandelier available in Gold and Silver/Black at Shiny Shabby event until 2/15/17. The Faun Chandelier is elegant, opulent and exquisitely detailed with glorious illumination…it’s a statement piece that makes the room. In addition, all Brook Hill Living buildings are 50% off in January, both on the marketplace and in-world store. Stay warm, dry and safe!
Game night at Grandma’s
Winter has set in at Silverlake village and Glory heads over to her friendly elderly neighbor for game night. As sheets of rain and lighting bolts strike outside the girls are happy to be safe and sound with the warm fire, cozy couch and yummy treats. Park Place Home Decor is participating in the January round of Swank event until 1/31/2017 offering numerous furniture pieces including the gray suede sofa with texture change pillows, comfy large gray suede armchair, ebony rocking chair with color change throw and many floor pillow options. Also available at Swank is the walnut drop-leaf coffee table with twig/glass decor, two gray printed area rugs and wall sconces. A corresponding gray/gold reversible wall art, black lacquer round wire end table, white marble accent lamp and indoor house plant complete the set. Displayed on the fireplace and next to the rocking chair is part of Tylar’s Treasures Celebrate Winter Decor items offered at a new smaller event called Color Me Happy until 2/6/17. Finally, the last offering from Park Place Home Decor at Swank is the walnut wall mirror entry table with accessories that matches the coffee table. So if you’re in need of renewing your space, head over to Swank and Color Me Happy and take advantage of these offerings.
Happy New Year!
Cheers to 2017! I hope you had a wonderful holiday season and a magical New Year’s. Since I’ve just returned to Second Life after a long hiatus, I didn’t have time to decorate for Christmas. I’m just finishing up my landscaping of a winter country village with an overall theme of Winterfest. What is Winterfest you ask, well for me it’s a celebration of all things winter from snowflakes to icy landscapes. Today’s styling features Brook Hill Living Portobello Set available at The Crossroads Event until 1/28/2017. The Crossroads is new to me monthly event highlighting top SL creators from female fashion, skin, accessories and home decor. Brook Hill’s Portobello set includes a high back tufted cream sofa with alternative red stripe linen fabric on the arms and seat. There is also three pillow collections to choose from and a lite “Rockstar” marquee sign in two colors (not shown above). Other items in the styling are What Next Amelie & Winter Picture Shelves and Dust Bunny Winter Treasures Collection. I had hope to publish this blog sooner but time got away from me. Hope you enjoyed my first interior design blog for the New Year. I’m pleased I returned to SL, even if it’s limited because it makes me happy!
