Winter Blues!

Brrr, bundle-up  it’s getting cold out there!  Today, you’re in luck, I styled a warm and cozy living space using CIRCA Living latest releases from the OMG! and Mix event in cool icy blues and winter whites.  The Winter Solstice collection is a lounge room gacha at the OMG! Oh My Gacha event that closes in 4 days and cost $65L per play.  There are 12 common items and 3 rares to win, all transferable.  Part of the Winter Solstice collection shown above includes blue ribbed area rug, floor cushion (9 sit animations), rattan ball floor lights, hexagon hive wall shelf, chalkboard art, light blue beanbag chair (26 sit animations) and modern fireplace with decor.  To complete the styling of the living room, I added some WinterWoods pieces available for the Mix Event until January 31, 2016.   The WinterWoods items shown above are the Ornate Bench in Frost Blue and Stick Tree Set in Winter Blues.  I also included part of the WinterWoods collection; branch coffee table, mini forest bucket and decorative light trees, all available at CIRCA Living main store.  The final touches of the winter wonderland space includes La Galleria snowflake toss pillows, wall decor and lantern (freebies), Plethora hanging snowflakes and snow-dusted white winter trees.  Hope you enjoyed my winter blues inspired living space and I encourage you to hop around the grid to create your own!

Contemporary & Cozy

Park Place Home Decor is participating in a new event called Gacha Good Events Out With the Old…. In With the New! (1/10-1/31) offering a collection of chairs and decor items in different styles ranging from contemporary to rustic.  At the event there are a few new releases and two gacha machines, one filled with chair ($75L) and the other contains decorative accessories ($35L).  To give you an idea of the diversity of products available, I styled two spaces; an art gallery and a cozy cabin.

The art gallery is inspired by the Dada movement, best known for cubism with artist such as Marcel Duchamp, Hans Richter, and Max Ernst.  Dada influenced later avant-garde development of surrealism and pop art.  I wanted to create a tension filled space with a feeling of the unexpected including the Park Place 3-D Cube Wall Decor (on wall & floor), Tabletop Wireframe Decor, and Autumn Wooden Wall Planters (on window), all gacha decor items.  In the gallery, I also used Gold Dust Canvas, Haven Accent Chair (Berry) and Leaf Chair (Harvest Gold), two gacha chair items.  Lastly, I accessorized with Sway’s Facette Collection including the vase & wall art (Jan 2016 Mix event, until 1/31), hanging lights and table, all in multiple color options.

The other space is a rustic cozy cabin designed with two new releases from Park Place at the Out with the Old event; the French Provincial Drop-Leaf Desk with Chair & Accessories and Wood Burning Stove with Brick Floor Hearth.  Also shown are the gacha items Home & Hearth Wing Chair and Comfort in Blue Easy Chair.  I accessorized with Finishing Touches Northwoods Lodge Collection (wall signs, table, lamps, lantern, candle, books, trunk & hanging log cabin quilt) and La Galleria’s Pinecone Accent Pillow and Winter Scene Quilt (both free items).  Check out the Out With the Old…. Autumn Glow

I adore fall, it’s my favorite time of the year to decorate.  From the glorious colors, to the fresh crisp smell in the air, and the yummy baked goods, it’s simply divine.  It’s easy to be inspired by this magical season and design a warm cozy retreat.  Today, I’ve created an autumnal living space using tons of free hunts items from The Seasons Story 2nd Anniversary, Chez Moi Spooky Hunt, and The Photographers Hunt $5L (all ending October 31, 2015).  I also included Sway’s Victor Wood Burning Stove & Storage Bench both deeply discounted 50%- 75% off for the Mix Event also ending October 31st.  Lastly, Sway’s Erika Set in Harvest (available @ Uber, ending today 10/23/15) was the ideal living room collection to use, bringing all the colors of fall into the space. Final Hours…

Is it just me or are there a ton more monthly events that feature home decor this year?  It seems like I spend most of my time looking at Seraphim blog, then when I get in-world I’m distracted with outstanding projects and miss the event entirely.  So I’m playing a little catch-up.

Today’s styling features Sway’s items for the Mix event (ending July 31) and Wayward Carnival (ending today, July 30).  The Mix event is a new monthly HUD- base shopping experience broken into three categories; New, Sale or Exclusive.  You do not need the HUD to shop, it only allows you to view in-world the participating stores and supplies a direct TP.  Sway’s is offering the limited (only sold for the Mix) Filis Collection in Black & White.   The set includes two bean-bag sling chairs (one black & one white), black & white end tables, paper ball lamps, and decorative accessories.   The B&W Filis is an adaptation of the spring release of the same set.  Take a peek of the offerings on Seraphim, lots of great deals you don’t want to miss!

The folks behind the uber popular Wayward Hunt (in April) have created the Wayward Carnival event, with fun summer items, to whimsical circus inspired products, be sure to check it out before it closed tonight.  Sway’s created Ines Canopy Sofa, a wicker lounge with five texture options for the mattress, pillows and canopy.  This is a must for relaxing sun-filled summer days!  Serenity Style is also participating in the event with a cute amusement park influenced Candy Carnival cart, heart cookies and muffins ferris wheel.  Yummy!
