Dreamy Vintage Rose Salon

Step back to the Victorian era and bathe in luxury.  Dreamland Designs is offering the Vintage Rose collection discounted at Perfect Ten, available until August 15, 2015.  Vintage Rose contains the whitewash bathroom sink with “I ❤ U” steam mirror, claw foot tub with English rose shower curtain, rose draped accent chair and candle caged chandelier {not shown}.  To complete the bathroom styling, I used Spargel & Shine Homes vintage rose painting, Victorian lady perfume ad, antique draped accent bath table and pewter & silk light fixture.  Soak up the glow of yesteryear elegance!

Summertime Living!

Summer is here (Yay!!!) The weather is warm and it’s time for outdoor living.  Dreamscapes Art Gallery has you covered for all those lazy hazy crazy days of summer.

Sunny’s Garden Cafe

A current trend in Silicon Valley, CA (USA) is converting old Victorian homes into community gathering cafes.  Situated in garden settings, these new coffee houses have a kid’s play area, teen hangout lounge space and patio bistro seating.  Steps away from revolutionary technology, seniors are organizing chess clubs, new moms are sharing tips, high schoolers are cramming for quizzes, play dates are formed and industry moguls discuss emerging trends.  The coffee-house serving as a community dwelling place is not a new idea, but one that was reborn from the bland uniformity of the major brand that dominates the industry.  Anywhere in the world, a Starbucks looks and feels the same, with overpriced cups of java that you can’t pronounce or calorie counts you don’t wish to acknowledge.  Don’t get me wrong, time is limited and these coffee factories will serve your immediate needs, but your experience is impersonal, pre-packaged and undistinguishable.

I loved the community coffee shop idea and wanted to reproduce a garden cafe in Second Life using Serenity Style latest release Caffe Di Milan for FamouStation, available until June 17, 2015 at 1pm SLT.  To complete the cafe I used Serenity Style Le Petit Bistro, previously released for the February round of Gatcha Mania, now available at the main store.  For the teen hang-out lounge space of the cafe Sway’s Filis set was perfect.  The Filis paper lanterns hang throughout the cafe with the low bean-bag style chairs snuggled in the bay windows…ideal for teens.  Fresh cut flowers are placed on all bistro tables inside and outside of the cafe, reflecting respect for the garden environment. Take a step back to the future and experience the warmth and vibrancy of hometown Americana!

Spring has Sprung!

Spring is here, the birds are singing and the flowers are blooming, now is the time to enjoy outside living.  Finishing Touches newest released is the Gram’s Roses Collection, a Victorian inspired rattan patio set 50% off at The Perfect Ten Event, available until April 15, 2015.  The Gram’s Roses Set includes: white rattan and english rose printed loveseat (40 animations), rattan patio chairs (22 single animations), rattan and glass coffee table, soft green rug, ottoman with drape, standing bird-cage, drink tray, floor plant, and wooden tub with Gram’s roses.  To complete the porch styling, I added Lunar Seasonal Designs Hyacinths Planter (texture change pot, dirt, grass & flower color), also available at Perfect 10 event for 50% off.  The swan planter and rose painted bench is Finishing Touches Victorian Rose collection offered at the main store.

Vintage Romance!

Happy Valentine’s Day!  Hope you are having a wonderful weekend.

Today is the LAST DAY for the House Hunt, so run over tonight and grab the great gifts ($20L each).  I’m sorry I didn’t blog them sooner, but I’ve been ill lately and yesterday I injured my neck/back causing me terrible pain while sitting at the computer.  Thankfully, I styled the vintage bedroom earlier in the week and my business partner, Niki Silverweb was able to take the pictures.  So without further ado, I present a vintage Valentine inspired bedroom using the House Hunt gifts and some lovely finds.  This bedroom doesn’t have to be just for Valentine’s Day, it can easily be used at any time.  The Vintage Romance boudoir has a distinctly feminine feel in soft pinks, dusty blue and overall rose pattern details.  Hope you enjoy!
