Dark Romance

Happy Saturday!  Hope your week went well.  I’ve been battling a flu/cold all week, so I’m going to skip waxing poetically and get right to the point.  Today’s post features a few time sensitive events closing on Tuesday, February 28, 2017.  First up is Park Place Home Decor Black Leather Chaise, Red Heart Garland Wall Decor, Gray Shag Diamonds Area Rug, Leafy Green Table Plant and French Walnut Round Accent Side Table exclusive for the Swank Event ending 2/28/17.  The theme for February was truly, madly, deeply; which inspired the darker boudoir.  Next is Brook Hill Livings recent release for the February round of The Crossroads Event, the Wagner Chair in Ebony and Spotlight, closing 2/28/17.  I also used the Faun Chandelier in Midnight, available for sale at the main store.  The remaining decor items are from a new to me subscriber monthly event called Deco(c)rate.  On the 8th of every month a mystery box with 15 semi-exclusive items from top H&G designers are delivered to your inventory, if you reserved your cart for $1,500L before the 7th.  Afterward the price doubles to $3,000L.  In today’s post, I used Mudhoney Ginny Bed, Second Spaces Mood Lighting Candles, Cheeky Pea Forgotten Places Fireplace, Hextraordinary Antique Cherub Lamp, Stockholm & Lima The Lovers Trail and Serenity Style All for Love Suitcase.  There are a number of other items that I hope to showcase before the new March boxes arrive.  Personally, I’m still a little on the fence about a subscription event, time will tell if it’s for me.  (I do love my bargains :-))  Lastly, I mentioned in my last blog post I wanted to spotlight more gifts from the Love Me…Love Me Not Hunt (ending 2/28) and Gloria is sporting the Facepalm Just Love red silk sleep shirt in standard sizing and mesh compatible.  Gloria’s golden locks are HoneyAna, the new group gift from Truth Hair ($350L join fee).  Hope you enjoyed the post, I’ve got couple more planned for the weekend….stay tuned!

Kiss from a rose

Hello, I’m back.  It’s been a few weeks since my last blog post.  Real life kidnapped me with massive amounts of work, some friend drama and health issues.  Hope you had a nice Valentine’s Day and are looking forward to spring.  Before February ends, I wanted to spotlight another hunt gift from the Love Me…Love Me Not Hunt closing 2/28/17.  Today, Glory’s modeling K&A Designs Lila Dress, a sexy red and black sweetheart strapless little number perfect for date night (mesh and standard sizing)!  And, speaking of date night, the hunt gift includes a matching red shirt for your guy (for standard avi’s).  I paired the Lila Dress with some past Fifty Linden Friday items from Maxi Gossamer Mix & Match Pearls and Wasabi Pills Olivia side ponytail.  Finally, I found the most adorable pair of mesh compatible shoes from Hilly Haalan, the Valentine’s Day Vista Red Heels with white flower detail for free!  There are a couple of other outfits and goodies from the Love Me…Love Me Not hunt I want to showcase before the hunt is over, so stay tuned! 

Liv Glam Valentine hunt

I recently found out about Liv Glam’s Valentine hunt, sorry I didn’t post this earlier.

Liv Glam hid 32 hunt gifts around the main store, costing 15L each for a Valentine special (the hunt item you are looking for is a red rose in a box).  I believe the hunt ends tomorrow Thursday, March 14, however I can’t find the notecard with the exact date in my inventory.  I was able to find 30 of the 32 gifts and all items are goodies, especially at the bargain price of 15L each.  Most items have three color options in each gift as well as a variety of size selections.  I will model a few below to give you an idea of the diversity of styles.

• Dress: K Collection Believe minidress, only available in red & black (hunt gift #7)
• Handbag: Stella Snake Effect tote (hunt gift #23)
• Jewelry: The Arabella set in Red (hunt gift #8)

• Coat: Animal print coat dress, also available in black & grey (hunt gift #19)
• Tote: Antigona Shopper tote in grey snake-skin (hunt gift #24)

• Gown: Jador Embellished gown, also available in red & green (hunt gift #17) -please note this gown has a super low back that shows too much skin for my comfort

Finesmith Valentine Hunt

Finesmith Jewelry is having a Valentine hunt until the end of the month, February 28, 2013. There are 16 hidden hearts priced from 0L to 100L.  Personally, I like to preview the hunt items before I spend my time and money hunting for them.  So, below I have taken snapshots of each collection to give you a better idea of the gifts.

First up and my favorite, the Love Nugget set includes red hearts and flowers necklace (heart #5), matching corsage bracelet (heart #9), ring (heart #9) and stud rose earrings (heart #1).  I am wearing Truth January hair in Chocberry.

Next, is the Heartfelt collection: necklace (heart #14), stacked bangles (heart #8) and drop earrings (heart #4).  Three color options are include in each piece, silver with red stone, gold with black stone and black with purple. I paired this set with Truth Hollana hair special priced for 88L at Collabor88.  I had never been to Collabor88 but when I received a notice from Truth Hair that one of their styles were priced so low, I run and purchased this hair in a number of colors. Normally, Truth hair in 250L, so this is a super steal for an adorable hair. I purchased a few other items at Collabor88 and will post an article shortly.

Warning: when wearing the Valentine necklace (heart #16) there is no denying your true feelings. This large display of affection comes in oxidized, copper (worn), gold & silver.

Drops of gold and regal flair will be yours when wearing the next collection, Dark Love. This collection also comes in matte silver and black. I paired the necklace (heart # 11), chandelier earrings (heart # 7), and tiara (heart # 15) with the Touch of Love in Gold Ruby ring (heart #2) and Love Spell hair sticks in Gold (heart # 6). 

And, finally an avant garde costume collection, Hot Red. The necklace (heart # 10), earrings (heart # 13), bracelet (heart # 3) and crown (heart #12) have large shaped hearts falling off of thin silver cords. I also wanted to show you a few group gifts and specials I picked up when I was hunting at Finesmith. The first photo is the Valentine group gift, Love Angel in Gold with fab wing details and a very cool bracelet. Membership for Finesmith is 365L.  Next, is another group gift the Mixed Copper Necklace.  And, finally a 55 Thursday special, Love Doesn’t Grow collection.  I fell in love with this artist branch necklace and wish Yula would make more piece like this one. Please note the necklace is called Love is In the Details and the earrings are Love Doesn’t Grow on Tree, although there are corresponding necklaces and earrings they are not on sale. I splurged and purchased the Love Doesn’t Grow Bracelet pictured below. The background was The Cold Winter Night hunt item from Katink with 10 textures for 10L.
