All You Need Is Love…

Hope you had a nice weekend.  Today’s post features two of the hottest trends; geo patterns and the Pantone color of the year Rose Quartz.  Injecting geometric decor in your home adds a modern flair.  From faceted accessories to table or lamps, geo inspired pieces enhance visual appeal & create eye-catching vigor to a room.

What is Pantone color of the year you ask?  Pantone began as the commercial printing company in the 1950’s; best known for its Pantone Matching System, a proprietary color space used in printing, paint, and fabric.  In 2000, Pantone created the “Color of the Year” as a symbolic color selection that serves as a cultural expression of mood and attitude. For the first time ever in 2016, the blend of two colors were selected: Rose Quartz a warm pink with gray undertones and Serenity a cooler sky blue offering a soothing peaceful balance in a turbulent world.  The softer pastel palette mixes well with shades of pinks, purples, grays and creams.

Pumpkin Spice

The Hands of Time!

I wasn’t going to do Halloween this year because I over did it last year with a week-long sim open house and multiple blog posts, however that all changed when I saw Finishing Touches eerie skeleton leg table and adorable gothic Halloween Cupcake Treats.  The Halloween Cupcake Treats are a three-tiered cupcake stand with three varieties including hot pink frosting with dark chocolate spiderweb, pink vanilla milk chocolate spider with licorice spider legs and jolly skull-eyes.  The decorative treats inspired a stylized gothic black & white Tim Burton-ish living space complete with clock filled room, covered sheet chairs and spirits from beyond.  Pop over to Finishing Touches and delve into the deliciously decadent gothic Halloween delights!

Final Hours…

Is it just me or are there a ton more monthly events that feature home decor this year?  It seems like I spend most of my time looking at Seraphim blog, then when I get in-world I’m distracted with outstanding projects and miss the event entirely.  So I’m playing a little catch-up.

Today’s styling features Sway’s items for the Mix event (ending July 31) and Wayward Carnival (ending today, July 30).  The Mix event is a new monthly HUD- base shopping experience broken into three categories; New, Sale or Exclusive.  You do not need the HUD to shop, it only allows you to view in-world the participating stores and supplies a direct TP.  Sway’s is offering the limited (only sold for the Mix) Filis Collection in Black & White.   The set includes two bean-bag sling chairs (one black & one white), black & white end tables, paper ball lamps, and decorative accessories.   The B&W Filis is an adaptation of the spring release of the same set.  Take a peek of the offerings on Seraphim, lots of great deals you don’t want to miss!

The folks behind the uber popular Wayward Hunt (in April) have created the Wayward Carnival event, with fun summer items, to whimsical circus inspired products, be sure to check it out before it closed tonight.  Sway’s created Ines Canopy Sofa, a wicker lounge with five texture options for the mattress, pillows and canopy.  This is a must for relaxing sun-filled summer days!  Serenity Style is also participating in the event with a cute amusement park influenced Candy Carnival cart, heart cookies and muffins ferris wheel.  Yummy!

Park Place’s generous offers

Hello again!  I know, I’ve been missing in action for a few weeks.  I’ve been working feverishly on a client project and honestly, I’ve hit more roadblocks that any Daytona 500 speed racer.  Time to take a break and share with you Park Place Home Decor’s generous offering for The Lexi Project, a fundraising event for Lexi Zelin, owner of AngelRed Couture.  My favorite part of Second Life are the numerous charity events that help real life causes; from the recently wrapped up Hair Fair that benefited Wigs for Kids, to Relay for Life SL that aids American Cancer Society, to tons more, and I’m always willing to land a hand.

Mounting medical bills and expenses are the last thing the 28-year-old mother needs to stress over.  Over 350+ generous designers and creators have come together at The Lexi Project, with 100% of all proceeds going straight to Lexi running from July 26th to August 9th.  There are also donation kiosks at the event location and for those of you who would like to donate directly, Lexi set-up a GoFundMe page.   Let’s come together and meet or beat Lexi goal of $12k, we are half way there.  The Lexi Project blog tells more about her story, has a complete designer list and gives a daily update on the funds raised.
