Happy Saturday! Hope your week went well. I’ve been battling a flu/cold all week, so I’m going to skip waxing poetically and get right to the point. Today’s post features a few time sensitive events closing on Tuesday, February 28, 2017. First up is Park Place Home Decor Black Leather Chaise, Red Heart Garland Wall Decor, Gray Shag Diamonds Area Rug, Leafy Green Table Plant and French Walnut Round Accent Side Table exclusive for the Swank Event ending 2/28/17. The theme for February was truly, madly, deeply; which inspired the darker boudoir. Next is Brook Hill Livings recent release for the February round of The Crossroads Event, the Wagner Chair in Ebony and Spotlight, closing 2/28/17. I also used the Faun Chandelier in Midnight, available for sale at the main store. The remaining decor items are from a new to me subscriber monthly event called Deco(c)rate. On the 8th of every month a mystery box with 15 semi-exclusive items from top H&G designers are delivered to your inventory, if you reserved your cart for $1,500L before the 7th. Afterward the price doubles to $3,000L. In today’s post, I used Mudhoney Ginny Bed, Second Spaces Mood Lighting Candles, Cheeky Pea Forgotten Places Fireplace, Hextraordinary Antique Cherub Lamp, Stockholm & Lima The Lovers Trail and Serenity Style All for Love Suitcase. There are a number of other items that I hope to showcase before the new March boxes arrive. Personally, I’m still a little on the fence about a subscription event, time will tell if it’s for me. (I do love my bargains :-)) Lastly, I mentioned in my last blog post I wanted to spotlight more gifts from the Love Me…Love Me Not Hunt (ending 2/28) and Gloria is sporting the Facepalm Just Love red silk sleep shirt in standard sizing and mesh compatible. Park Place’s generous offers
Hello again! I know, I’ve been missing in action for a few weeks. I’ve been working feverishly on a client project and honestly, I’ve hit more roadblocks that any Daytona 500 speed racer. Time to take a break and share with you Park Place Home Decor’s generous offering for The Lexi Project, a fundraising event for Lexi Zelin, owner of AngelRed Couture. My favorite part of Second Life are the numerous charity events that help real life causes; from the recently wrapped up Hair Fair that benefited Wigs for Kids, to Relay for Life SL that aids American Cancer Society, to tons more, and I’m always willing to land a hand.
Lexi Zelin, owner and creator of AngelRED Couture, has recently been diagnosed with Stage 3 Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. Mounting medical bills and expenses are the last thing the 28-year-old mother needs to stress over. Over 350+ generous designers and creators have come together at The Lexi Project, with 100% of all proceeds going straight to Lexi running from July 26th to August 9th. There are also donation kiosks at the event location and for those of you who would like to donate directly, Lexi set-up a GoFundMe page. Let’s come together and meet or beat Lexi goal of $12k, we are half way there. Trending: Boho Chic
A current trend in interior design is Bohemian! The Boho Chic style is denoted by collected items from world travels, selected finds at yard sales/ flea markets, and your own creative inspiration; largely centered on global aesthetics and imported products. Patterns, colors, and styles are intermingled to create lounge style spaces. Furniture is low to the ground with multiple floor pillows in seating areas and walls are covered with hanging tapestries and beaded curtains. This is the genesis of the great room where function meets style.
For my build, I used several items from the new cycle of The Perfect Ten event (available until 3/15/15, event items are discounted) including Heart & Homes Boho Green Spring Set (rug & chair) and Willowinds Conway Couch, as well as Little Llama Grandma’s Desk prints from The Challenge March round (theme Globetrotter). I also used Sway’s Phoda Wicker Chair, exclusively at Uber, theme bohemian. Most of the other items in the space were ‘finds’ in my inventory from past shopping adventures, my sponsor blogger packs, borrowed from friends (Thanks Morgan!), and current Arcade items. Nautical Chic!
As everyone heads to the beach this Labor Day weekend, I wanted to share with you my secluded Nautical Atlantic beach house, which will be open to the public from September 1 to Sunday, September 7, 2014 at 12pm SLT. This is my first open house, so pop by, enjoy, and check out the build.

I loved the Scarlet Creative Atlantic Home offered at June Collabor88 and wanted to create a hidden beach hideaway that’s casual, yet chic. I envisioned the beach home to serve as a family & friends entertainment center complete with a casually sophisticated dining room furnished with Trompe Loeil’s Darya Dining Room set, formal living space appointed with Floorplan’s Sailor collection, and a family room finished with Cleo Designs’ Nautical ensemble. The heart of the home is always the kitchen which I placed in the middle of the beach shack complete with Scarlet Creative sink, stove, and Cheeky Pea Boat Wine Bar. The entry hall greets guests with a welcome sign and bench; turn the corner and a small office with scenic view serves as creative inspiration. Finally, the back of our casa functions as a ‘Anchors Away’ bedroom accessorized with maritime decor, boat oars, framed nautical art, model ship & lighthouse, and an over stuffed linen cabinet. I loved designing our beach home and can’t wait to share it with you. Grab a burger from the outside grill, build sandcastle dreams and ‘catch the waves.’ Late dinner is served at nightfall while stargazing. So stop on by, be inspired and let’s get decorating!
