Dark Romance

Happy Saturday!  Hope your week went well.  I’ve been battling a flu/cold all week, so I’m going to skip waxing poetically and get right to the point.  Today’s post features a few time sensitive events closing on Tuesday, February 28, 2017.  First up is Park Place Home Decor Black Leather Chaise, Red Heart Garland Wall Decor, Gray Shag Diamonds Area Rug, Leafy Green Table Plant and French Walnut Round Accent Side Table exclusive for the Swank Event ending 2/28/17.  The theme for February was truly, madly, deeply; which inspired the darker boudoir.  Next is Brook Hill Livings recent release for the February round of The Crossroads Event, the Wagner Chair in Ebony and Spotlight, closing 2/28/17.  I also used the Faun Chandelier in Midnight, available for sale at the main store.  The remaining decor items are from a new to me subscriber monthly event called Deco(c)rate.  On the 8th of every month a mystery box with 15 semi-exclusive items from top H&G designers are delivered to your inventory, if you reserved your cart for $1,500L before the 7th.  Afterward the price doubles to $3,000L.  In today’s post, I used Mudhoney Ginny Bed, Second Spaces Mood Lighting Candles, Cheeky Pea Forgotten Places Fireplace, Hextraordinary Antique Cherub Lamp, Stockholm & Lima The Lovers Trail and Serenity Style All for Love Suitcase.  There are a number of other items that I hope to showcase before the new March boxes arrive.  Personally, I’m still a little on the fence about a subscription event, time will tell if it’s for me.  (I do love my bargains :-))  Lastly, I mentioned in my last blog post I wanted to spotlight more gifts from the Love Me…Love Me Not Hunt (ending 2/28) and Gloria is sporting the Facepalm Just Love red silk sleep shirt in standard sizing and mesh compatible.  Gloria’s golden locks are HoneyAna, the new group gift from Truth Hair ($350L join fee).  Hope you enjoyed the post, I’ve got couple more planned for the weekend….stay tuned!

Take me into your loving arms

Happy Wednesday!  I hope you had a good weekend.  I’m back today with more Valentine’s Day decor and fashion.  To highlight some of the hunt gifts on the Love Me…Love Me Not hunt until 2/28/17, I created a sweet and soft pretty in pink bedroom.  One of my favorite gifts on the hunt is Dreamscapes Art Gallery Love Ladder.  The ladder corresponds perfectly with Dreamscapes new release Jessir Chair in stripes with english rose printed blanket and matching heart ottoman.  Another great companion from Dreamscapes is the Love Frames, a gift on the Stupid Cupid Hunt (2/3-2/28).  To me Valentine’s Day always means roses and StoraxTree has a lovely Vintage Plant Stand Rose Bush Pink on the Love Me…Love Me Not hunt.   Another nice gift is Love You Suitcase, a fun pink teddy bear suitcase from Sickly Sweet.  To complete the styling of the feminine boudoir, I used Floorplan Swan Lake Score Print above the bed and Bow Chair at the bureau (both part of January 2017 Collabor88).  What Next Amelie Blanket Box and Picture Shelves (both past FLF) round out the floral pastel palette.  Lastly, I added Adorably Strange Wares Roseta Wreath to the mirrors behind the table lamp available for 50% off at Perfect Ten (till 2/15).As for some fashion, today I have an adorable lingerie set from Carrie’s Lingerie.  The Love Me pink with heart balconette-style bra with matching thong is a free gift on the Love Me…Love Me Not hunt.  The Love Me set is designed for classic avi’s (non-mesh) with an omega applier, I haven’t succumbed the temptation of mesh bodies yet.  If you ever want to know my skin or hair, just im me, I’m happy to share (I’m really bad at listing everything I use for fashion post).  In the above picture I’m wearing Lamb Dissolved Girl hair (previous group gift, still available for free). Another pretty in pink lingerie set is Blacklace Lady Almathea, the new group gift ($99L group fee).  Lady Almathea is a pink rose appliqué corset with panties that fits mesh and system avi’s. Baby, It’s Cold Outside!

After a cup or two of hot chocolate, night fell on the North Pole and the Misses showed me my room for the evening.  The rustic charm of the winter lodge living room continued into the guest bedroom.  The Potomac Signature Homes Holiday Lane bedroom is a cozy retreat with an oak four-poster bed adorned with garland and wrapped in red and green wool tartan duvet, matching plaid lampshades and quilted wreath.  Oak side tables and dresser, snowflake rug, and a sparkling frosted Christmas tree complete with quilted handmade tree skirt, candle and string lights, ornaments, poinsettia, and “spinning” silver snowflake topper welcomes and charms the bedroom. The side wall is decorated with Dreamscapes Art Gallery Christmas Forest wood trees which create the feeling of Christmas glow.  Finishing the bedroom is the comfy sage and poinsettia Jolly Velvet Chaise Couple Lounge, decked out with snowflake blankets and pillows by Circa Living and a charming holiday themed corner side table with wooden tree and Christmas signage by The Mustard Seed (both Homestuff Hunt gifts).

On our shopping trip, I picked up some cute Christmas lingerie.  First up is Carrie’s Lingerie Holiday Grace lace and silk poinsettia print bra and boyshorts, part of the Penny Wishes Hunt (a portion of the sale is donated to RFL) at the SL Christmas Expo 2014 AviChoice sim.  I accessorized the Carrie’s Holiday Grace set with Purple Moon Cycle in Emerald & Topaz Set (Hunt for the Bells- 100% proceeds donated to RFL) and Cucbis dans la Chocolaterie Bracelet & Ring (Naughty or Nice Hunt), both items available on Sim 1 at the SL Christmas Expo 2014 until December 15, 2014.  Wreath with teddy bear and trees by Potomac Signature Homes.

And, last is Mona Red Kitty Set, a red and black kitty cat printed boyshort and bra set by Blacklace Lingerie, part of the KittyCats Advent Calendar.  I’m also sporting Chop Zuey Hearts of Hope set, both items free for all.  Joy to the World, and look forward to a glimpse into Santa’s toy land tomorrow!

Top o’ the Mornin’ to ya!

Happy St. Patrick’s Day! 

This is a day that everyone loves.  You don’t have to be Irish to celebrate, just have fun and drink some green beer.  And don’t forget to celebrate by embellishing your Second Life home with a few decorative green furniture pieces (like below).  Instantly your home has holiday spirit and will become party central where everyone feels comfortable and loved.

For me in RL, I was invited to a St. Patty’s Day party by my 80/90-year-old neighbors (aka they needed a designated driver) and for evening plans, it’s pub crawl nite with my European coworker, who can drink me under the table before we enter the bar (aka they needed a designated driver).  But, my Second Life plans are very exciting, I’m throwing Snowflake (our cat) her 1st Annual Shamrock Party with all her feline friends.  I needed a good strong chair to hold up to all the scratching, Park Place’s FREE Gold Corduroy Chair & matching table (Wee Little Leprechaun hunt item) is perfect.  I accessorized with  a few furry bears for amusement and served cookies and nonalcoholic green beer (on a foot stool), so all alley cats can enjoy a good time…

                                                                                                                                        

For the 2 legged guests, tables are set with muffins, Hot cross buns, Irish Coffee and green beer are placed around the room.  Blending natural tones offsets the green chairs and decorative ornaments.  For the party, I will wear Purple Moon’s  Patty Gown in White/Green (PM group gift, above) and for bed (after the party) Blacklace’s Infatuated Green Lingerie (below).  Happy St. Patrick’s Day, there are lots of hunts dedicated to the holiday; it’s worth checking out here!  Enjoy and I would love to see how you decorated your home, share with me on Facebook.

Christmas Expo 2013 | Lounge Around

5 more days for the Christmas Expo 2013 and still tons of shops to check out.  This past Tuesday night was the Victoria’s  Secret Fashion Show which has inspired this blog post today.  I always watch, not because I have a need or desire to walk a runway almost nakies (as Kali say) but because I LOVE the concepts and creativity of the show.  It’s been a while since Glory modeled lingerie but Carrie’s Lingerie Christmas special, available at the Christmas Expo 213 supporting relay for Life, are too cute to not showcase.  Taxi please…

First up something to lounge around the house in while waiting to open presents on Christmas morning, the Carrie’s Lingerie Haley Plaid Holiday.

Next up is the most adorable lingerie set with a skirt option, top hat & cane, Carrie’s Lingerie Cheri Holiday. I love any corset that come with skirt options because A) instant feminine, & B) it hide things (giggles).  What I really love about the Cheri Holiday set is the close resemblance to my favorite Victoria Secret lingerie from Tuesday night show (pic below).  Anytime you can mix a feminine skirts with adorable holiday prints and top hats, you know you are going to have a spicy good time!
