Dark Romance

Happy Saturday!  Hope your week went well.  I’ve been battling a flu/cold all week, so I’m going to skip waxing poetically and get right to the point.  Today’s post features a few time sensitive events closing on Tuesday, February 28, 2017.  First up is Park Place Home Decor Black Leather Chaise, Red Heart Garland Wall Decor, Gray Shag Diamonds Area Rug, Leafy Green Table Plant and French Walnut Round Accent Side Table exclusive for the Swank Event ending 2/28/17.  The theme for February was truly, madly, deeply; which inspired the darker boudoir.  Next is Brook Hill Livings recent release for the February round of The Crossroads Event, the Wagner Chair in Ebony and Spotlight, closing 2/28/17.  I also used the Faun Chandelier in Midnight, available for sale at the main store.  The remaining decor items are from a new to me subscriber monthly event called Deco(c)rate.  On the 8th of every month a mystery box with 15 semi-exclusive items from top H&G designers are delivered to your inventory, if you reserved your cart for $1,500L before the 7th.  Afterward the price doubles to $3,000L.  In today’s post, I used Mudhoney Ginny Bed, Second Spaces Mood Lighting Candles, Cheeky Pea Forgotten Places Fireplace, Hextraordinary Antique Cherub Lamp, Stockholm & Lima The Lovers Trail and Serenity Style All for Love Suitcase.  There are a number of other items that I hope to showcase before the new March boxes arrive.  Personally, I’m still a little on the fence about a subscription event, time will tell if it’s for me.  (I do love my bargains :-))  Lastly, I mentioned in my last blog post I wanted to spotlight more gifts from the Love Me…Love Me Not Hunt (ending 2/28) and Gloria is sporting the Facepalm Just Love red silk sleep shirt in standard sizing and mesh compatible.  Gloria’s golden locks are HoneyAna, the new group gift from Truth Hair ($350L join fee).  Hope you enjoyed the post, I’ve got couple more planned for the weekend….stay tuned!

Kiss from a rose

Hello, I’m back.  It’s been a few weeks since my last blog post.  Real life kidnapped me with massive amounts of work, some friend drama and health issues.  Hope you had a nice Valentine’s Day and are looking forward to spring.  Before February ends, I wanted to spotlight another hunt gift from the Love Me…Love Me Not Hunt closing 2/28/17.  Today, Glory’s modeling K&A Designs Lila Dress, a sexy red and black sweetheart strapless little number perfect for date night (mesh and standard sizing)!  And, speaking of date night, the hunt gift includes a matching red shirt for your guy (for standard avi’s).  I paired the Lila Dress with some past Fifty Linden Friday items from Maxi Gossamer Mix & Match Pearls and Wasabi Pills Olivia side ponytail.  Finally, I found the most adorable pair of mesh compatible shoes from Hilly Haalan, the Valentine’s Day Vista Red Heels with white flower detail for free!  There are a couple of other outfits and goodies from the Love Me…Love Me Not hunt I want to showcase before the hunt is over, so stay tuned!

Happy Wednesday!  I hope you had a good weekend.  I’m back today with more Valentine’s Day decor and fashion.  To highlight some of the hunt gifts on the Love Me…Love Me Not hunt until 2/28/17, I created a sweet and soft pretty in pink bedroom.  One of my favorite gifts on the hunt is Dreamscapes Art Gallery Love Ladder.  The ladder corresponds perfectly with Dreamscapes new release Jessir Chair in stripes with english rose printed blanket and matching heart ottoman.  Another great companion from Dreamscapes is the Love Frames, a gift on the Stupid Cupid Hunt (2/3-2/28).  To me Valentine’s Day always means roses and StoraxTree has a lovely Vintage Plant Stand Rose Bush Pink on the Love Me…Love Me Not hunt.   Another nice gift is Love You Suitcase, a fun pink teddy bear suitcase from Sickly Sweet.  To complete the styling of the feminine boudoir, I used Floorplan Swan Lake Score Print above the bed and Bow Chair at the bureau (both part of January 2017 Collabor88).  What Next Amelie Blanket Box and Picture Shelves (both past FLF) round out the floral pastel palette.  Lastly, I added Adorably Strange Wares Roseta Wreath to the mirrors behind the table lamp available for 50% off at Perfect Ten (till 2/15).As for some fashion, today I have an adorable lingerie set from Carrie’s Lingerie.  The Love Me pink with heart balconette-style bra with matching thong is a free gift on the Love Me…Love Me Not hunt.  The Love Me set is designed for classic avi’s (non-mesh) with an omega applier, I haven’t succumbed the temptation of mesh bodies yet.  If you ever want to know my skin or hair, just im me, I’m happy to share (I’m really bad at listing everything I use for fashion post).  In the above picture I’m wearing Lamb Dissolved Girl hair (previous group gift, still available for free). Another pretty in pink lingerie set is Blacklace Lady Almathea, the new group gift ($99L group fee).  Lady Almathea is a pink rose appliqué corset with panties that fits mesh and system avi’s. Make You Feel My Love

Happy February!  My cousin Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow on Thursday and forecasted six more weeks of Winter.  How is Phil my cousin you ask?  Well, I’m born on groundhog day and I figure any dude that only appears once a year and sleeps the rest is a kindred spirit… (now you know why styling bedrooms is my fav).  This birthday was very different from any other because my mom was not feeling well enough to partake and I went out to dinner with a dear girlfriend. We had a wonderful time and I got to laugh, act silly and just relax for a moment.  As we painted the town red, Valentine’s Day theme permeated the air.  With 10 days till cupid’s arrow hits you, I have a number of events, gifts and freebies to highlight in today’s blog.First up, the Perfect Ten event runs from 2/1/17-2/15/17 and I’m so happy to be back blogging for The Cookie Jar merchants.  It’s been an ongoing partnership since 2014 and as always the two-week event spotlights 10 home & garden designers with exclusive items half price or less. Emerald Isle!

First, a big congrats goes to the team behind the SL Home & Garden Expo 2016 who raised $4,010,116L for Relay for Life of Second Life, benefitting the American Cancer Society.  Second, a warm thank you to all my readers who supported the cause.  The RFL-SL fundraising season continues with the 10th Anniversary Fashion for Life from March 6th-20th.  This year the offerings are vast on nine sims with daily entertainment, fashion shows, $10L hunt, live auction and photo contest, all details here.  If I have some free time this week, I’ll try to showcase some of the items but in the meantime please check out my nearest and dearest friend, Rhiannon Colclough blog, Fashion is Fun!

This coming Thursday will be St. Patrick’s Day and I’ve always marked the occasion with a holiday themed blog post. As I was looking through past entries, I noticed I’ve never featured outdoor decor.  Today’s scene was created with Brook Hill Living, Park Place, Tylar’s Treasures, Serenity Styles, Sway’s, What Next and Chez Moi.  I’m very excited to share with you a new home builder, Brook Hill Living who recently released the Waterfront Barn last week and the Chilmark House at the Expo.  The Waterfront Barn is available in two version, shabby or posh with four dock options, two gazebos, and an open floor plan, available on the marketplace or in-world store.

Park Place Home Decor is currently participating in two monthly shopping events; Swank and Gacha Good.  The Gold Plaid rattan patio set and Garden Chair Planters (gacha item) are offered at Gacha Good until March 31, 2016. Emerald Isla Garden Cart, Flower Basket (Pink & Red), Magazine Basket, and Purple Tulips in Twin Vase are available at Swank until April 1, 2016.
