Countdown!  T minus 4 days till Cupid’s arrow hits you!  Yes, I know some of you guys are in denial, but this Saturday is Valentine’s Day and today I created a romantic garden gazebo getaway that you can use all year-long with some special sweet touches from Aphrodite Shop/Heart Homes.  The design duo of Marina Ramer (Aphrodite Shop) and Jaylin Whitewood (Heart Homes) have created everything you could wish for this season of love including a special Valentine’s Market sim.  Check it out!  Taxi please…

After your unique and one of a kind experience at Casa de Aromas Restaurant, cozy up at home in a romantic garden gazebo that will be your private retreat for many days and nights. Created using Barnesworth Anubis Garden Gazebo (Dec 2014 Collabor88 item) and furnished with Aphrodite Shop/Heart Homes Valentines release is a sweet and simple hideaway that you can design too.  The inside of the gazebo is intimate and inviting with Heart Homes Romantic Piano and Garden Cafe Set {with pillar candles} dominating the space. (Please note that both Heart Homes items are part of the Valentine Gazebo collection, a set that includes 3 private pavilions connected by rose-covered bridges with animations and looks best submerged in water.)  Because it’s Valentine’s Day and I love Marina’s sweet treats I had to display part of the Valentine’s Mega Party Pack {discounted 25%} including the Salad Buffet Table, Dessert Tables #1 & #2 with animated fondue and strawberry jelly cookies, and Valentine Heart Shaped Balloon Arches, Floating Heart Balloons, and Love Signs.  I also added some recent releases from Serenity Styles consisting of the Love Gatcha items for the With Love Fair 2015 (2/6-20/15).  Finally, I incorporated Finishing Touches I Heart You Stacked Planter (discounted) and I Heart You Candle Trio (free subscriber gift) that matches perfectly with the I Heart You Retro Living Room collection I previously blogged.  Some other items used in the gazebo are Alouette Cupid’s Arrow (past group gift), What Next Tivona Tree Lanterns, and Free Bird Love Neon Sign (free subscriber gift).  I hope you enjoyed the romantic garden gazebo and have a wonderful passionate Valentine’s Day!

4th of July Party!

America’s big birthday is coming on Friday, July 4.  This day is very important to those of who celebrates freedom, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.  The 4th of July is noted for firework, back yard BBQs, and family vacations at the beach, but it is much more than that.  For my 4th of July tribute, I used the Dragon Magick Wares Take The A-Frame red, white & blue house with large deck an exclusive item from The Designer Warehouse Shopping Event to create the perfect party backdrop.  The Star Beaded Curtains hanging on the windows from Lunar Seasonal Designs are also exclusive at The Designer Warehouse, available until July 10, 2014.

Lakehouse Living | The Collage

A new round of The Collage is opening on Monday, June 23rd with designs ranging from shabby chic, to classic, to Victorian.  The designer’s new releases will be available at the new Collage location, now open year round.  Today’s inspiration for my great room are the soft peaches and muted sea greens from the Cozy Essentials Lakehouse Collection dining set.  I imagined radiant metallic reflects of translucent seashells that washed up on shore.  I create two separate spaces in my Trompe Loeil Willoughby Lakehouse, a sitting area and dining room.  To enhance the soft blush tone from the Cozy Essential rug in the living room, I used Dreamscapes Art Gallery Olivia rose painted shelf and table.  I finished the sitting room with Spargel & Shines Home Annie Antique Travel Set, Dreamscapes Milla leather armchair and couch (May/June release), and some Cozy Essentials plants, ferns and decorative accessories.

To divide the space, I utilized Cozy’s Lakehouse Collection Entrance Table with two-sided photo frame, filled with close up pictures of seashells. The dining and buffet tables are filled with sweet treat courtesy of Aphrodite Shop, Death by Chocolate new release (not part of The Collage).  Cozy Essential’s Lakehouse Dining Collection includes; mahogany dining table, 6 sea green chairs, peach rug, buffet table, candle display, lamps, chandelier, mirror, clock, entry table with texture change picture frames, ferns, potted plants, fireplace {not shown} and decorative accessories.  The dining room set is a nice addition to any home.  Taxi please…

Summer Garden Wedding!

This week is rather busy for me.  My neighbors who I’ve been looking after for over a year now, will be celebrating their 70th Wedding Anniversary.  I know, 70 years together, rather amazing in the day and age when couples hop in and out of love like changing their socks.  So, all 6 of their kids, plus significant others and grandkids, and 100+ great grandkids are descending on them for the big party this weekend.  I’ve been helping out with all the details and arrangements.  Tomorrow, I’m taking the missy to get her hair done and finally convinced her to purchase a new dress for the occasion.  It got me thinking about all the SL weddings I’ve seen on Facebook and I want to highlight a few special Aphrodite Shop products that would be perfect for summer garden parties, weddings, anniversaries, or even recommitment ceremonies.
