Take me into your loving arms

valentines-day-pretty-in-pink-bedroomHappy Wednesday!  I hope you had a good weekend.  I’m back today with more Valentine’s Day decor and fashion.  To highlight some of the hunt gifts on the Love Me…Love Me Not hunt until 2/28/17, I created a sweet and soft pretty in pink bedroom.  One of my favorite gifts on the hunt is Dreamscapes Art Gallery Love Ladder.  The ladder corresponds perfectly with Dreamscapes new release Jessir Chair in stripes with english rose printed blanket and matching heart ottoman.  Another great companion from Dreamscapes is the Love Frames, a gift on the Stupid Cupid Hunt (2/3-2/28).  To me Valentine’s Day always means roses and StoraxTree has a lovely Vintage Plant Stand Rose Bush Pink on the Love Me…Love Me Not hunt.   Another nice gift is Love You Suitcase, a fun pink teddy bear suitcase from Sickly Sweet.  To complete the styling of the feminine boudoir, I used Floorplan Swan Lake Score Print above the bed and Bow Chair at the bureau (both part of January 2017 Collabor88).  What Next Amelie Blanket Box and Picture Shelves (both past FLF) round out the floral pastel palette.  Lastly, I added Adorably Strange Wares Roseta Wreath to the mirrors behind the table lamp available for 50% off at Perfect Ten (till 2/15).love-me-love-me-not-hunt-carries-lingerieAs for some fashion, today I have an adorable lingerie set from Carrie’s Lingerie.  The Love Me pink with heart balconette-style bra with matching thong is a free gift on the Love Me…Love Me Not hunt.  The Love Me set is designed for classic avi’s (non-mesh) with an omega applier, I haven’t succumbed the temptation of mesh bodies yet.  If you ever want to know my skin or hair, just im me, I’m happy to share (I’m really bad at listing everything I use for fashion post).  In the above picture I’m wearing Lamb Dissolved Girl hair (previous group gift, still available for free). blacklace-lingerie-lady-amalthea-group-giftAnother pretty in pink lingerie set is Blacklace Lady Almathea, the new group gift ($99L group fee).  Lady Almathea is a pink rose appliqué corset with panties that fits mesh and system avi’s. I’m sporting Exile Rush hair and Cog & Fleur Cloisonne Heart jewelry set, a gift on the Love Me…Love Me Not hunt.  Hope you enjoyed my soft and sweet Valentine’s Day blog post.  Happy early cupid day!

Make You Feel My Love

Happy February!  My cousin Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow on Thursday and forecasted six more weeks of Winter.  How is Phil my cousin you ask?  Well, I’m born on groundhog day and I figure any dude that only appears once a year and sleeps the rest is a kindred spirit… (now you know why styling bedrooms is my fav).  This birthday was very different from any other because my mom was not feeling well enough to partake and I went out to dinner with a dear girlfriend. We had a wonderful time and I got to laugh, act silly and just relax for a moment.  As we painted the town red, Valentine’s Day theme permeated the air.  With 10 days till cupid’s arrow hits you, I have a number of events, gifts and freebies to highlight in today’s blog.valentines-day-red-purple-passionFirst up, the Perfect Ten event runs from 2/1/17-2/15/17 and I’m so happy to be back blogging for The Cookie Jar merchants.  It’s been an ongoing partnership since 2014 and as always the two-week event spotlights 10 home & garden designers with exclusive items half price or less. Above, I used HJM Designs Heart Decor Hanger on the windows, Adorably Strange Wares Flora Amour Ladder Decor & Hipster Celebration Table (3 tier cake on milk can), and Lunar Seasonal Designs Heart Jar of Lights & Shabby Chic Wooden Heart Marquee Sign.  The jar of hearts is menu driven with the option to change the texture of the jar, ribbon, color of lights/hearts and glow level.  The wooden heart marquee is super cool with the ability to change the text to spell up to three lines 8 letters each and change the color of everything.love-me-love-me-not-huntI also used HJM Designs Love Heart Decoration (large red heart with rose on right wall), Tool Shed Tubey Heart Decor on windows and Park Place Home Decor The Two of Us purple floor rug and pillows, all items on the Love Me…Love Me Not hunt until 2/28/17.  To finish off the styling, I used Sway’s Ahara Wicker Chairs and Button Floor Lamps (past FLF), Half Deer Fairylight Balloons and What Next Amelie Tall Chest of Drawers, both Fifty Linden Friday items for 2/3.  Lastly, you can’t celebrate Valentine’s Day without chocolate; StoraxTree has a nice red heart box for free on the Where’s Cupid Hunt available until 2/14/17.love-me-love-me-not-hunt-go-frock-yourself-nailsAnd ladies, while shopping for Valentine’s Day decor, don’t forget to style a little something for you too!  Glory’s looking a bit sexy this morning wearing Wicked Jennifer Blouse with Bra, Georg Bellic Design Loves me Skirt Black Big Hearts {both top and skirt fit classic and mesh avi’s} and Go Frock Yourself Heart Balloon Slink nails, all on the Love Me…Love Me Not Hunt (till 2/18).  Her hair is Clawtooth Up and Away and Reign Pattern Pumps for mesh appliers (both 2/3 FLF).  Last but not least, Chop Zuey is offering the Love Knot set for the Fabulously Free in SL group (free to join), so now you’re ready for Amore!

Welcome to Silverlake Village!

winter-landscape-village-grandmasHi again, can you believe it’s the last day of January already?  I can’t!  This month sure flew by quickly.  Did you know that today is National Hot Chocolate Day, in fact I’m sipping one right now.  Any excuse for delicious chocolate works for me!  Today, I wanted to share with you my home sim, Silverlake Village.  I mentioned earlier this month that since I’m slowly returning to SL, I didn’t have a opporunity to ‘go-all-out’ for Christmas 2016, so there are just a few items in my Winterfest scene.  On my little slice of virtual heaven, I created a country village with four builds nested into the snowy mountains.  The first home {shown above} is the Home for the Holidays December 2015 arcade gacha items from What Next.  All the gacha items are displayed including the adorable five-room winter cottage I dubbed grandma’s house.  The two-story stoned build with porch, snow roof, outdoor string lights and working indoor fireplace is the perfect winter backdrop for the cute snowman, holiday bike decor and snowflake bench {some of the other gacha items}.  Grandma’s house is ideal for all seasons with a no snow option and is sure to remain on my homestead.  winter-landscape-village-shopNext is Josette Boutique {in green} by Trompe Loeil, also available in 3 other colors {red, blue and black}.  Every good village needs a coffee shop, so I converted the space into a cafe with my living quarters upstairs.  The cafe has lovely etched windows with an open floorplan in warm woods and a ladder leading up to the loft with fireplace.  So far, I spotlit the lower level and this coming week, I’ll focus on the bedroom for upcoming Valentine’s Day post.  For outside decor, I used Tylar’s Treasures Cold Winter Night Bench {3 couple cuddle poses only}, hunt gift for Ball of Yarn Hunt (ends today, 1/31/17).  Also shown is Apple Fall Farrow Garden Wall set {free}. winter-landscape-village-conservatoryMy third stop on the tour is the Iona Conservatory by Trompe Loeil which I’m transforming into a romantic spot.  Either a fancy restaurant or a small theater lends itself to the beautiful glass and brick single room copper roof architectural gem.  Also shown in the exterior is What Next Wintry Pembury Bench, Winter Harvest Lanterns and Trompe Loeil Valiano Fountainwinter-landscape-village-ski-patrol-cabinLast but not least is the Alpine Cabin by What Next, which I nicknamed the Ski Patrol Cabin because every country village burrowed in the snowtops needs a friendly snow bunny!  This home is decked out mostly in wintery decor with nods to Nordic decor, details here.  Thank you for allowing me to share my homes with you.  In the past, I’ve never had time to capture the place I call home, just whatever I was blogging at the time.  This year, I want to remember everything and have fun!

Happy New Year!

brook-hill-portobello-setCheers to 2017!  I hope you had a wonderful holiday season and a magical New Year’s.  Since I’ve just returned to Second Life after a long hiatus, I didn’t have time to decorate for Christmas.  I’m just finishing up my landscaping of a winter country village with an overall theme of Winterfest. What is Winterfest you ask, well for me it’s a celebration of all things winter from snowflakes to icy landscapes.  Today’s styling features Brook Hill Living Portobello Set available at The Crossroads Event until 1/28/2017.  The Crossroads is new to me monthly event highlighting top SL creators from female fashion, skin, accessories and home decor.  Brook Hill’s Portobello set includes a high back tufted cream sofa with alternative red stripe linen fabric on the arms and seat.  There is also three pillow collections to choose from and a lite “Rockstar” marquee sign in two colors (not shown above).  Other items in the styling are What Next Amelie & Winter Picture Shelves and Dust Bunny Winter Treasures Collection.  I had hope to publish this blog sooner but time got away from me.  Hope you enjoyed my first interior design blog for the New Year.  I’m pleased I returned to SL, even if it’s limited because it makes me happy!

Merry & Bright!

ski-cabin-2016-side-viewHappy December!  I know it seems a bit strange to offer joyous holiday spirit 19 days or so into the month, but I was so preoccupied in sharing my older home design with you, I wasn’t sure if I would be able to carve out time to return to Second Life and style for the holidays.  Well, I just had too…the design bug bit me and with a few sleepless nights, I created a cute little ski chalet using What Next  Alpine Cabin.  Surprise, surprise…the cabin and most of the holiday decor from What Next is currently part of the 12 Days of Savings 50% off marketplace special (ends 12/25/16).  I think this is the first year What Next and other home designers are participating in the MP blowout.  Last year, I cleaned up on Truth Hair and Mandala Jewelry.

ski-cabin-2016-porch-front I love styling porches…the entryway needs to be inviting and cozy.  With multiple lanterns, benches and welcome mat, Santa is sure to stop here first.  I even left some hot cocoa and cookies on the ski lift for him!

ski-cabin-living-2016 ski-cabin-bar-2016ski-cabin-bar-closeupInside the one room cottage is a warm retreat with lots of seating, presents and stocking ready to be filled.  An overall Nordic Winter theme in red, cream and touches of green is felt throughout the room.  Lots of trees in every style are tucked in the corners and a sweet treat coffee bar displaying Brook Hill Living Finse Deer Tableware complete the Merry & Bright lodge!
