Are you getting excited for the holidays? I know I sure am. Today, I present another styling viewpoint for the holiday season. This time we’re in homespun setting featuring items from the 2014 Second Life Christmas Expo & Breedable Fair, opening tomorrow, December 4, closing December 15, 2014.
The fourth annual SL Christmas Expo is a mega event that raises funds for Relay For Life of Second Life (RFL of SL). 100% of registration fees, sponsorship fees, kiosk donations, hunt, raffle, auction, and vendor donation items are paid to Relay For Life of Second Life. Relay For Life of Second Life is part of the American Cancer Society and is a virtual version of the real life Relay For Life. You can find more information about RFL of SL here: http://relayforlifeofsecondlife.org/.
The 2014 Second Life Christmas Expo and Winter Breedable Fair will consist of both holiday and non holiday items from some of the best creators and designers in Second Life, spread across 8 sims! The Winter Breedable Fair will feature a special one of a kind (OOAK) breedable auction. Both the Expo and Fair will feature special events, including live performances, djs, the Holiday of Hope Ball, Hunt For the Bells, Naughty Or Nice, a Christmas Tree Lot, Ornament Auctions, and of course photos with Santa!
To create the quaint and charming homespun Christmas room I used Park Place English Study Set (Hunt for the Bells item, desk & chair with ottoman not shown) and Follow Us Sugar Snow Christmas Tree, Christmas Ginger Socks Fireplace, Santa’s Cookies & Milk Tray, Plum Pudding Sleigh, Christmas Wreath, Thanksgiving Cart, and Snowglobe Teddy (Hunt for the Bells). The whimsical Follow Us Sugar Snow Christmas Tree with gingerbread men is one of my favorite Christmas trees presented this year, available in frosted and evergreen variety making the room cozy and warm. To accent the style, I used exclusives found at the Expo including: Park Place animated snow globes in mason jars, Spyralle Folk Art Christmas Tree (Frost Green) & Christmas Black Enamel Lantern, True North Designs Small Poinsettia Bowl, PurpleMoon Seasonal Mesh Owl Xmas Spirit (Hunt for the Bells), and House of Avro Christmas Wreath with Bells. To finish the room, I added La Galleria Christmas Plaque w Bow (**free**), Park Place Words for All decorative accessory, and Serenity Styles Winter Rug. There are over 95+ creators on 8 sim offering everything from fashion, jewelry, poses, home, and breedable friends. After a long day styling the homespun room, I sat down to read a book while wearing Ever An’ Angel Elegant Angle Gown in Cranberry and Purple Moon Cycle Set in Emerald & Topaz Jewelry (Hunt for the Bells). Hope the homespun styling gives you inspiration and you head over to the SL Christmas Expo to spend lindens for a great cause.
