Ballet Pixelle presented an avant-garde performance of human vs. machine (life vs. automation) in its latest release, En Passant.  Artistic director and choreographer, Inarra Saarinen, created the animations for this dramatic production.  The storyline is a struggle of man vs. machine played out in the game of chess.  It is danced on a chess board with humans representing the white chess pieces and automation representing the black chess pieces.  The drama is heighten in a final struggle between the Kings and Queens on both sides.  Who will win this war?  One bold move will change the game.  An interesting cultural event for spring available on Wednesdays at 2pm SLT and Sundays at 5pm SLT until May 1, 2013.
