This year, The Skin Fair will take place from Friday, March 15, through Sunday, March 31. The fair will showcase new and exclusive skins from over 80 of your favorite designers from around the grid. We have been careful to include skins that would appeal to everyone including male and female skins, child skins, fantasy skins, and even mesh avatars!
The fair covers two sims this year which is good news for everyone because that means more people can shop at once. We will be enforcing a strict script policy at the fair. Please come in as little as possible but as the sims are PG, please make sure that all private parts are covered. Detach all objects that you may be wearing. This will allow for a better shopping experience for all. There will be a lag free outfit dropped in the Skin Addiction group and the Skin Fair 2013 group before the fair begins. If you do not have your own lag free items to wear, feel free to grab the outfit from the notices and wear it.

What is one hour of light worth to you?
Earth Hour was inspired by a demonstration in Sydney, Australia on March 31, 2007, when more than 2.2 million Sydney residents and more than 2,100 businesses switched off lights and non-essential electrical appliances for one hour to make a powerful statement about the leading contributor to global warming: coal-fired electricity.
That single hour accounted for a 10.2 percent reduction in energy consumption across the city. Global icons such as the Sydney Opera House went dark, weddings were held by candlelight, and the world took notice. – What is Earth Hour?
When Dana Yotov started her small project of capturing portraits of those in support of Earth Hour, she did not know how much of an impact it would have in SecondLife (SL). Instead of an expected handful of requests from friends to join in on the pledge, she soon had dozens upon dozens of requests from all over the SL community.
One of those, was Boniefacio. He has volunteered his services in support the cause to help reduce emissions and save our Earth. The Amazing Impressions Modeling (AIM) will be hosting an Earth Hour 2013 Fashion Show on Saturday, March 30th at 4pm SLT.

Colour of Couture is a Top Model Competition created to bring mainstream awareness to Women of Color in Second Life Fashion — including Aboriginal, African/African Diaspora, Alaska Native, Asian, Caribbean, Latin American, Maori, Native American Indian, South Sea and Pacific Island, and Indigenous heritages throughout the world.
Miss Colour of Couture will be that woman who can represent the celebrated diversity of models in SL. Unique in appearance and styling, Miss CoC will be a combination of grace and elegance and have a commanding presence on the runway. Miss Colour of Couture will be a welcomed ambassador to the fashion world with a care and ambition to help others.
The Miss CoC competition is an opportunity to gain automatic entry into the Miss Virtual World competition. We seek only candidates who are professional and mature in understanding that fully completing the challenges of this competition will give them the experience and opportunity to excel at the highest level of competition. CoC management will provide a full schedule of times and dates for all events, so that in fairness, all candidates may accomplish the goals to gain the most points possible.
The owners of this competition see this event as more than a competition, but also as an opportunity to showcase the collaborative energy of creative and talented women of colour to have influence on a worldwide technologically based community. Come show us your true Colour of Couture!

The FASHION TELLER is looking for a couple of fresh faces (Male or Female) to join the family. Anyone can apply and doesn’t have to be an experienced model but He/She must be a master stylist capable of creating a look in any scenario. We totally depend on our models to creatively style and BE the character they are portraying in our books, so it is imperative that they are able to style in any fashion. We are looking for unique and creative people who would love to be part of the group for the sake of making fashion art stories. We are not an agency but a group of friends and family who are proud of the work we do to create something beautiful. This will be our only casting for 2013 and we can only hire a couple of models as we try to limit our members so we can provide work for everyone.

What you need:
- Join the Audace Models group in-world.

- Perfect English is not required.
- Be able to learn the walk formations with the trainer. These lessons will be at fixed times.

The House of Elliot is on the look out for one unique model to be the Face of H-O-E for 2013. Can you be the trend? Do you stand out from everyone? Can you bring out the best when it come to Fashion? If the answer is yes, then you may be what H-0-E is looking for in the Face of 2013.
Rules:
- All outfits must be from the House of Elliot Store. You are most welcome to edit any parts or style with accessories from other designers. Think outside the box when it comes to styling.
- Must be a portrait of full body photo. Rename your portrait or full body photo, “H-O-E Face of 2013 Contest – YOUR NAME“.
- Send a copy of your full permission photos to Zaryna Resident.
- All photos must be turned in before April 30th.
The Winner will become the Face of House of Elliot and receive a vendor photo made by Julie Hastings and a L$15k prize.
